Mendel Unus 2019
One of my favourite wineries from Argentina, lovely family run vineyard of whom I have had the pleasure of tasting their wines with on various occasions.
Here is where a little patience gives you great rewards, let breath for at least one hour and you will end up with a wine you can just sink into. Their UNUS is a blend of Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot, aged for 16 months in French oak barrels, initial complex aromas that then blend into one mellow mocha and dark berries that lead onto a palate that is just coated with silky jammy tannins and a smooth memorable finish. Such a great wine that will only get better over the next decade.
