Personally I would put the Pietro up there with the likes of Sassicaia as a super Tuscan. Lovely intensity, complex on the nose with cut flowers, ripe woodland fruit and dried plum, accompanied by elegant spice notes of black pepper, cloves and incense. Soft and elegant on the palate with velvet tannins; a full – bodied wine, long and persistent, with fruity and sweet spice aftertaste.
